Clement is passionate about supporting students with their learning. He enjoys problem-solving with students and families to help them achieve their elementary and secondary school learning goals. He also enjoys assisting post-secondary students to learn how they learn best and how to advocate for their own learning. Under the supervision of a registered psychologist at Westside Psychology and Learning Centre, using a holistic approach in conducting psychoeducational assessments, he hopes to help students integrate information from the home and school settings to provide a better understanding of how they learn best.

Clement completed his Master’s of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of British Columbia. He currently works in a local school district providing psychoeducational assessments for school-aged children.

Julie is a Registered Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families. She holds a Master of Arts in School Psychology from the University of British Columbia and a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary.

For more than a decade, Julie worked in both public and private school settings while also running her own private practice. She takes a holistic, client-centered approach, always tailoring her work to meet each client’s unique needs. As a trusted learning advisor, Julie is passionate about helping clients understand and overcome learning challenges, while also finding ways to unlock their potential and achieve meaningful success — whether that’s in school, work, or life.

Julie specializes in psychoeducational assessments for individuals of all ages, with expertise in learning disabilities, giftedness, intellectual disabilities, and ADHD. She also has a special interest in working with adults in post-secondary settings and beyond, helping them design educational and work environments that play to their strengths, ultimately leading to more fulfilling careers and lives.

Julie’s reports are thorough and easy to understand, offering evidence-based recommendations that give families a clear, actionable plan for moving forward. In addition to being registered in British Columbia, Julie previously practiced in Alberta, giving her a broad perspective on educational and psychological systems.

Melanie Parent is a licensed school psychologist with a rich background in psychoeducational assessments and a deep commitment to supporting students with learning disabilities, ADHD, and giftedness. She holds a Master of Education degree in School and Applied Child Psychology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts with dual majors in Psychology and English Literature, and a Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language.

With over eight years of experience as an Orton-Gillingham Tutor, Melanie has honed her skills in providing tailored, multisensory support to students facing academic challenges. Prior to her work in supporting children with learning differences, she served as an English Language Learner (ELL) teacher, where she developed a passion for helping students from diverse backgrounds to navigate their educational journeys.

Under the supervision of a registered psychologist at Westside Psychology and Learning Centre, Melanie aims to bridge the gap between psychological theory and practical application in educational settings.
